1. Nationality

A candidate must meet one of the following nationality conditions:

  • Be a citizen of India, or

  • Be a subject of Nepal, or

  • Be a person of Indian origin who has permanently settled in India after migrating from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam.

Note: Candidates from categories (ii) and (iii) must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India. However, Gorkha candidates from Nepal are exempt from this requirement.

2. Age Limit

  • For SSC (Tech)-63 Men:
    Candidates must be aged between 20 and 27 years as on 01 April 2026.
    (i.e., Date of Birth must fall between 01 April 1999 and 31 March 2006, both dates inclusive.)

3. Educational Qualification

  • Candidates should have either passed their required Engineering Degree or be in the final year of the degree program.

  • Final year students must:

    • Submit proof of passing the final exam and all semester mark sheets by 01 April 2026.

    • Provide the final degree certificate within 12 weeks of starting training at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA).

  • Those unable to provide the required documents in time will be liable to refund the cost of training, stipend, and other pay and allowances under the Additional Bond Agreement.

4. Physical Fitness Standards

To join the academy, candidates must meet the following minimum physical standards:

Indian Army SSC Tech Men Recruitment 2025: Selection Process

The Indian Army follows a multi-step selection process for recruiting Engineering graduates under the SSC (Tech) 63rd Course for Men:

 1. Shortlisting of Applications

  • The Integrated Headquarters of MoD (Army) will shortlist candidates based on the number of vacancies and a fixed ratio.

  • The shortlisting is based on cumulative marks obtained up to the final semester or year.

  • Final-year candidates are provisionally eligible, provided:

    • They have the required aggregate percentage till 6th semester (Engineering), 8th semester (B.Arch), or 2nd semester (M.Sc).

    • They must meet the minimum cut-off marks in the final degree results as well.

Note: Failing to meet the cut-off after final results will lead to cancellation of candidature.

 2. Allotment of SSB Centres

  • Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their Selection Centre via email.

  • After receiving the allotment, candidates must log in and choose SSB interview dates (initially on a first-come, first-served basis).

  • The option to choose dates may be revoked in exceptional cases.

3. SSB Interview Process

  • SSB Interviews will be conducted at Allahabad, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar Cantt.

  • The interview is conducted in two stages:

    • Stage 1: Screening Test

    • Stage 2: Psychological Test, Group Tasks, and Personal Interview

  • Candidates who do not clear Stage 1 will be sent back the same day.

  • Those who pass both stages will undergo a Medical Examination.

4. Final Selection & Training
