Indian Army JAG Entry Scheme 2025: Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)

  • Minimum Age: 21 years

  • Maximum Age: 27 years

  • Must be born between 02 January 1999 and 01 January 2005 (both dates inclusive).

A candidate must be:

  1. A citizen of India, OR

  2. A subject of Nepal, OR

  3. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam) with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum 55% aggregate marks in LLB Degree (either a 3-year professional course after graduation or a 5-year course after 10+2).

  • Must have obtained the degree from a college/university recognized by the Bar Council of India.

  • CLAT PG 2025 score is mandatory for all candidates (including LLM qualified and LLM appearing).

  • Must be eligible for registration as an advocate with the Bar Council of India/State.

Note 1: Only candidates possessing LLB degree and marksheet are eligible, provided they meet the above criteria.

Note 2: CLAT PG 2025 result must be verified at the Selection Centre before the SSB interview. Without verification, the candidature will be cancelled. There is no offline application process

Indian Army JAG Entry Scheme 2025: Selection Procedure

The Indian Army JAG Entry Scheme 2025 follows a multi-stage selection process to ensure only the most suitable candidates are chosen for the prestigious role of Judge Advocate General.

1. Shortlisting of Applications

  • Applications will be shortlisted by the Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) based on the vacancy-to-call-up ratio.

2. Allotment of Selection Centre

4. Medical Examination

5. Merit List

6. Training & Joining
