The Indian Army has officially released the notification for Direct Entry Havildar and Naib Subedar (Sports Quota) for Intake April 2025. This is a Govt Job opportunity for unmarried male and female Indian citizens with outstanding sports achievements to join the armed forces through the sports quota entry scheme.

🏆 Eligible Sports Disciplines
Outstanding players from the following sports are eligible:
- Athletics (Men): Track & Field – 100M to 20KM Walk, Javelin, Shot Put, etc.
- Archery, Basketball, Boxing, Diving, Football, Fencing,
- Gymnastics, Hockey, Handball, Judo, Kabaddi, Swimming,
- Kayaking & Canoeing, Sailing, Shooting, Triathlon,
- Volleyball, Wushu, Weight Lifting, Wrestling, Winter Games
Candidates with achievements after 1st April 2023 in National/International/Khelo India events can apply.
🧾 Eligibility Criteria
For Havildar:
- Age: 17½ to 25 years (Born between 30 Sept 2000 and 01 Oct 2007)
- Qualification: Matriculation (10th Pass)
- Sports Achievements:
- Medalist at National level (Junior/Senior)
- Represented India at International level
- Khelo India Games medalist
For Naib Subedar:
- Same age & education as Havildar
- Higher Sports Achievement Required:
- Medalist in Olympics / World Championships / Asian Games / CWG
- Represented India twice in major international events

🏃♂️ Physical Fitness Tests
Male Candidates:
- 1.6 km Run – Within 5 mins 45 sec
- 9 feet ditch & zig-zag balance
- Chest Expansion: 5 cm
- Height: Varies by region (157 cm to 170 cm)
Female Candidates:
- 1.6 km Run – Within 8 mins
- 10 feet long jump, 3 feet high jump
- Height: 162 cm (with regional relaxation)
⚕️ Medical & Other Criteria
- Medical check-up conducted by Army doctors at trial sites
- Unfit candidates get 5–7 days to appeal at designated hospitals
- No tattoos except per Army norms; no drug use allowed
- Only unmarried candidates eligible

- Selection is merit-based and completely transparent
- Trials held at Army Sports Centres (location shared via email)
- No travel allowance; candidates bear their own expenses
