The recruitment process for the post of Security Assistant/Executive involves three tiers of examination. Below is a clear breakdown of each stage:

Tier-I: Objective Type Test (Online)

• Mode: Online

• Duration: 1 Hour

• Total Marks: 100

• Structure:
  The test will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, with 20 questions from each of the following five sections:

  • General Awareness

  • Quantitative Aptitude

  • Logical/Analytical/Numerical Ability

  • English Language

  • General Studies

• Negative Marking: ¼ mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Tier-II: Descriptive Test

• Mode: Offline (Pen and Paper)

• Duration: 1 Hour

• Total Marks: 50

• Content:
  Candidates must translate a passage of around 500 words from the local language/dialect to English and vice versa.

• Qualifying Marks: A minimum of 20 out of 50 is required to qualify.

• Note: This tier is qualifying in nature, meaning its score won’t affect the final merit but must be cleared.

Tier-III: Interview / Personality Test

• Total Marks: 50

• This round evaluates the candidate’s communication skills, presence of mind, and overall suitability for the role.

Cut-off & Shortlisting Criteria

• Minimum Cut-off Marks in Tier-I:

  • UR/EWS: 30

  • OBC: 28

  • SC/ST: 25
    (Ex-servicemen will be assessed in their respective categories)

• Shortlisting for Tier-II:
  Based on normalized Tier-I scores, candidates will be shortlisted at a ratio of 10x the number of vacancies.

• Shortlisting for Tier-III:
  Only those who qualify Tier-II (with at least 20 marks) will be considered. Shortlisting will be done at 5x the vacancy count.

• Final Selection:
  The final merit list will be prepared by combining the marks of Tier-I and Tier-III.
  A waiting list may also be generated for future use, as per government guidelines.

Exam Centers & City Preferences

• Candidates must choose five (5) exam cities while filling the application.

• The exam city once chosen cannot be changed later under any circumstances.

• Due to high or low demand, candidates might be allocated a city other than their first choice, but within their selected five.

• However, selection will only be valid against the SIB selected at the time of application.
