IAF Agniveer Vayu Sports Recruitment 2025: Age Limit

• Date of Birth Range: Candidate must be born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2008 (both dates inclusive).

• Upper Age Limit at Enrolment: 21 years.

• Marital Status: Only unmarried male candidates can apply. Marriage is not allowed during the 4-year engagement period. Those who marry during this period will be discharged.

IAF Agniveer Vayu Sports Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

1. Educational Qualification

(A) Science Subjects

• 10+2 / Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics & English from a recognized board with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
  OR

• 3-Year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / IT) with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma or 10th/12th.
  OR

• 2-Year Vocational Course with Physics & Mathematics and 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

(B) Other than Science Subjects

• 10+2 / Intermediate in any stream with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
  OR

• 2-Year Vocational Course with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Note: Candidates eligible for Science Subjects are also eligible for Other than Science Subjects.

2. Sports Achievements

Candidates must have any one of the following:

1. Represented India in Junior/Senior International competitions recognized by IOA.

2. Minimum 5th place in Junior Nationals OR represented State/UT in Senior Nationals/All India Inter-University/SAI Khelo India Nationals.

3. In team events: Represented State/UT in recognized championships.

4. Cricket: Played in All India Inter-University or BCCI Tournaments (U-19, U-23, Ranji Trophy, etc.).

5. Shooting: International medal/participation OR national ranking up to 50th.

6. Chess: FIDE Standard Classic Rating of 2300 or above.

IAF Agniveer Vayu Sports Recruitment 2025: Physical & Medical Standards

Physical & Medical Standards

• Height: Minimum 152 cm

• Weight: Proportionate to height and age

• Chest: 77 cm (minimum) with 5 cm expansion

• Vision: 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6; LASIK/PRK not allowed

• Hearing: Normal hearing from 6 meters

• Dental: Healthy gums, at least 14 dental points

• General Health: Fit for duty in any climate & terrain

• Tattoos: Only allowed on inner forearms, reverse side of palm, or tribal customs; offensive tattoos not allowed.

Other Important Conditions

• NDPS Policy: Zero tolerance to drug/alcohol abuse.

• Sikh Candidates: Permitted to keep hair/beard as per tradition.

• Ex-Servicemen / Govt Employees: Allowed with NOC and discharge certificate (no adverse entries).

• Doping Policy: Candidates caught using performance-enhancing drugs will be disqualified.

• Trial Location: Mostly in Delhi; may change if infrastructure unavailable.

Documents Required at Selection Trial

• 10 Passport-size photographs (with name & date on slate)

• Original & 4 self-attested copies of educational certificates and marksheets

• Sports achievement certificates

• Character certificate

• NOC/Discharge certificate (for Govt/Defence employees)

• Body tattoo certificate (if applicable)

• Consent/Undertaking form for PFT & Medical Test

IAF Agniveer Vayu Sports Recruitment 2025: Selection Process

1. Verification of Eligibility

• Candidates must bring original documents mentioned in the notification (Educational Certificates, Sports Certificates, Aadhaar Card, Discharge Certificate if applicable, Body Tattoo Certificate, Consent Form, Passport-size Photos).

• Documents will be checked before the Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

• Candidature will be cancelled at any stage if found ineligible.

• Internet printouts or mobile snapshots of mark sheets are not acceptable.

2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Candidates must pass the following tests to qualify for the next stage:

• Candidates must bring their own sports shoes and shorts/track pants.

3. Sports Skill Trials

• Only candidates who pass PFT will be called.

• Trials will be conducted for the applied sports discipline at venues decided by Air Force Sports Control Board (AFSCB) in Delhi-NCR.

4. Medical Examination

• Shortlisted candidates after skill trials will undergo a Medical Examination by an IAF medical team.

• Tests include:

  • Blood Haemogram (Hb, TLC, DLC, Platelets)

  • Urine RE/ME

  • Blood Sugar (Fasting & Post Prandial)

  • Serum Cholesterol, RFT, LFT

  • Chest X-ray (PA view)

  • ECG

  • Other tests as deemed necessary

5. Appeal Medical Board (AMB)

• Candidates declared medically unfit can appeal by depositing ₹40/- via e-MRO/MRO.

• Application for AMB must be submitted within 3 working days of the initial medical examination.

• Final decision rests with Armed Forces medical authorities.

Important Notes:

• Passing the medical examination does not guarantee employment.

• No TA/DA will be provided.

• Candidates should arrange their own stay during trials and medical tests.

• No request for change in trial or medical exam date will be entertained.

IAF Agniveer Vayu Sports Recruitment 2025: Pay & Allowances

Monthly Salary (Agniveer Package)

• Starting Pay: ₹30,000/- per month (1st Year)

• Yearly Increment: Fixed increase every year

• Allowances: Risk & Hardship, Dress, Travel (as per IAF rules)

• Perks: Free ration, clothing, accommodation, LTC (Leave Travel Concession)

Seva Nidhi Package (Terminal Benefit)

On completion of the 4-year service, Agniveervayu (Sports) will receive a lump sum Seva Nidhi comprising:

• 30% monthly contribution from salary

• Matching contribution from Government of India

• Total after 4 years: Approximately ₹10.04 Lakhs (excluding interest)

• Tax-Free Benefit

Total Contribution (4 Years):

• From Agniveer: ₹5.02 Lakh

• From Government: ₹5.02 Lakh

• Total Seva Nidhi: ₹10.04 Lakh (plus interest)

Note:

• No PF (Provident Fund) contribution required.

• No entitlement to gratuity or pensionary benefits.

1. Online Registration

2. Prepare Scanned Copies of Required Documents (JPG/JPEG format):

   • Class 10th Certificate (for Name, DOB, Father’s Name verification)

   • Class 12th / Diploma / Vocational Course certificates & mark sheets (as per eligibility)

   • Passport-size Photograph (10 KB–100 KB, taken within last 3 months, holding black slate with name & date)

   • Left-hand Thumb Impression (10 KB–100 KB)

   • Signature (10 KB–100 KB)

   • Parent/Guardian’s Signature (if below 18 years)

   • Sports Achievement Certificates (maximum 5, as per notification)

3. Application Fee

   • ₹100/- + applicable taxes

5. Aadhaar Number

   • Mandatory for all except candidates from J&K, Ladakh, Assam, Meghalaya (if Aadhaar not available)
