The selection of candidates for the post of Scientist ‘B’ in DRDO through RAC will be done in the following stages:

1. Shortlisting of Candidates

   • Based on GATE score (2023/2024/2025) in the relevant discipline.

   • For some disciplines, selection may be through written examination conducted by RAC.

2. Personal Interview

   • Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal Interview.

   • The interview will be conducted at Delhi or other notified centers.

   • Candidates must produce all original documents at the time of the interview.

3. Final Merit List

   • Prepared on the basis of GATE score / Written Test (where applicable) and Interview performance.

   • Weightage usually is:

     • GATE Score / Written Exam – 80%

     • Interview – 20%

4. Medical Examination

   • Recommended candidates must pass a medical fitness test as per DRDO standards.

5. Document Verification

   • Verification of educational certificates, caste/category certificates, age, and other eligibility conditions before final appointment.
