The selection process for Short Service Commission (SSC) Tech Entry into the Indian Army involves multiple stages. Here’s a complete breakdown:

Stage 1: Shortlisting of Applications
  • The Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) will shortlist candidates based on a cut-off percentage.

  • This cut-off is calculated on the cumulative marks of:

    • Up to 6th semester for Engineering candidates,

    • 8th semester for B.Arch candidates,

    • 2nd semester for M.Sc candidates.

  • Final-year candidates can also apply, but their final results must match or exceed the cut-off marks later. Failing this, their candidature will be cancelled.

Note: The number of shortlisted candidates will be based on the vacancy-to-call-up ratio, and no specific reasons will be provided for cut-offs.

Stage 2: Selection Centre Allotment
  • Shortlisted candidates will receive an email/SMS for Selection Centre allotment.

  • Candidates must log in to the official website and select SSB interview dates (first come, first served).

  • In special cases, the option to choose SSB dates may be revoked.

Stage 3: SSB Interview (5-Day Process)
  • Interviews are held at one of the following SSB Centres:
